A hilarious new holiday parody musical from the team that brought you Dysentery: The Musical and Claus Out!
Putting on a show at Christmas isn’t for the faint of heart. Take it from Defiance Comedy, now staging its 8th annual holiday musical at the IF theatre. This year we attempt the most dangerous feat a company can try: a show within a show.
Meet the Harpers—your “totally normal” family who also happens to run Defiance Comedy (super meta!). When their holiday show hits a snag, they have to put aside their differences, outwit meddling neighbors, and save the theatre from being turned into condos.
From the team that’s turned irreverent Christmas shows into an Indianapolis tradition, Defiance Comedy’s Christmas Vacation is a brand-new musical comedy stuffed with original songs, big laughs, and that familiar “we love each other… even when we absolutely don’t” holiday spirit. Expect sibling showdowns, neighborhood warfare, rom-com sparks, and the kind of heart that sneaks up on you right after the punchline.
