SYNOPSIS: Set in the Oklahoma Territory at the turn of the 20th century, OKLAHOMA! follows spirited farm girl Laurey Williams and charming cowboy Curly McLain as they navigate romance, rivalry, and the promise of a new frontier. Featuring beloved songs, lively dance, and a story of community and belonging, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s groundbreaking musical celebrates the hopes and challenges of a changing America.
Our 2027 production of OKLAHOMA will be reimagined with a fresh, contemporary visual approach. Modernized costumes and a simple, utilitarian set will keep the focus where it belongs: on the actors, the characters, and the story.
Music by Richard Rodgers | Book and Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II | Origina Choreography by Agnes de Mille | Based on the play “Green Grow the Lilacs” by Lynn Riggs
