The 2026 Pokémon Indianapolis Regional Championships are coming to Indianapolis the weekend of May 29, and with it, the competitive debut of the brand-new Pokémon Champions video game. Fresh off its launch on April 8, 2026, Trainers in Indianapolis will be the first to witness top Pokemon competitors put the new game to the test in an official major tournament setting, marking the kickoff for the next chapter in competitive Pokémon play. Trainers can also catch exciting competition across the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) and Pokémon GO throughout the weekend, as players will battle for the coveted title of Pokémon Regional Champion, valuable Championship Points, and a portion of over $130,000 in prizes, scholarships, and gift cards.

All attendees who have an official event badge, regardless of whether the attendee is competing in the Regional Championships or are a spectator of the event, can battle for a variety of awesome prizes in smaller competitions throughout the weekend—it’s a great opportunity to compete against players from around the world!

Fans who aren’t able to attend in person can catch all the action online on Twitch and YouTube to make sure they don’t miss a second of the competition from the comfort of their own homes.
