Study Hall: Comedy Inspired by Lectures blends brief lectures with improv to create an experience that is always educational, always entertaining, and never the same twice.

Each show features guest speakers sharing insights from their field, followed by a cast of Indianapolis improvisers who use what they learned, or thought they learned, to create hilarious scenes right before your eyes. You’ll learn, laugh, and leave without homework!

Study Hall is hosted by IU Indianapolis Professor and Director of the Ray Bradbury Center, Dr. Jason Aukerman. The improv cast features both faces well known to Indy audiences and some new ones you will get to know including including George Azar, Holly Brooke, Eliza Brown, Kelsey Griffin, Ezri Braid-Grizzel, Mai Khuu, Will Pfaffenberger, Brandon Wilson, Chad Woodward. Study Hall is directed by Crossroads Comedy Theater founder, Mike Marbach.

Study Hall made its Indianapolis debut with a local cast in the 2025 IndyFringe Festival and returns to the IF Theatre for a 2026 run that includes performances most 3rd Saturdays at 7pm with the awesome Red Curb Comedy following at 8:30pm. See one or see them both for less!
