The Downtown Canal is one of Indianapolis’ most recognizable destinations and beloved public spaces. Stretching from 11th Street to White River State Park, the scenic promenade follows the historic Central Canal and connects to the Indianapolis Cultural Trail at two locations. With a three-mile loop, beautiful green spaces, cultural attractions, recreational amenities, and stunning skyline views, the Canal offers something for everyone to enjoy.
The Downtown Canal is open 24/7, seven days a week, with quiet hours from 10PM to 7AM.
