In honor of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in New York, Pride Month is celebrated nationwide and locally in Indianapolis every June to celebrate our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) community. From the heart of Downtown to adjacent venues across the city, Indy Pride, Inc. and local organizers plan, in partnership with the community, a variety of events and experiences this month for LGBTQ+ Hoosiers and allies to join together in safe spaces where they can be their authentic selves.
Despite the painful year the LGBTQ+ community has endured in Indiana, specifically for members of the trans community, Indy Pride is more committed than ever to continuing to create safe and inclusive celebrations this June. As part of this commitment to safe spaces, Indy Pride has organized a record number of LGBTQ+ events this Pride season, reminding every LGBTQ+ Hoosier and ally to continue to gather, celebrate, and build community. IYG Golf OUTing in partnership with Indy Pride
Indiana Youth Group (IYG) and Indy Pride are proud to partner for the First Annual IYG Golf OUTing! Join us at Smock Golf Course for a golf scramble followed by an after-party you won’t want to miss featuring giveaways, drag queens, entertainers, and the Pride Court! All proceeds will go directly to supporting queer youth and young adults through IYG’s programs, services, and resources.

Community Picnic and Bat n’ Rouge
One of the most fun, family-friendly, and FREE Pride events of the season is coming soon! The first Pride Picnic took place in 1983 with over 500 participants and has since grown to almost 800 people in 2022. Bring your family and join us for the Community Picnic at Riverside Park, food will be served at 12 p.m.
Immediately following lunch, you won’t want to miss the Bat N’ Rouge softball game, hosted by Indy’s Bag Ladies, the oldest HIV/AIDS fundraising group in Indiana.

Bi/Pan Pride
Join us for Bi and Pan Pride as we celebrate our bisexual and pansexual community members at Tinker House for an all-ages evening of food, music, vendors, and celebration. DJ Annie D will be kicking off the event with some killer music at 7 p.m. Dance with us until 10 p.m.! In between dances, you can shop from a few local artists and vendors or enjoy a cocktail from the cash bar (for guests 21+). This event is absolutely free to attend and is open to guests of ALL ages! Girl Pride
Girl Pride is so excited to be back together this year for another amazing and magical lineup at The Vogue for “Girl Pride: Beyond the Binary” on Thursday, June 8. This year we are elevating and celebrating the femme spirit, with a magical lineup of talented artists across the entire femme/gender spectrum. In addition to our own local artists weaving a tapestry consisting of burlesque, aerial burlesque, drag, and spoken word we are elevating this event with GFlip as our headliner. Indy Pride Parade
This year is bound to be the biggest and best Indy Pride Parade yet! Join us for this staple event along Mass Ave as we celebrate the beautiful LGBTQ+ community. One of the longest-standing traditions of Indy Pride, the Parade has also become one of our largest and most colorful attended events. Beginning at the corner of Mass and College Avenues, the 180-unit parade floods Mass Ave with so much joy. The Parade is entirely free and open to all ages, just be sure to bring your chair and find a good viewing spot!

Indy Pride Festival
This year will be bigger and better than ever with over 50 entertainment acts, 200 vendors, and an estimated attendance of 40,000 people, the Indy Pride Festival is the place to be Saturday, June 11.
We learned a few lessons from last year, so we have tripled our food vendors, added more space for gathering, included two fully programmed stages for entertainment, coordinated a full Sober Lounge, and are welcoming a “sanctuary space” for folks who may need a break from the crowd. Join us for what is bound to be the best year yet!

AAPI Pride
AAPI Pride is a community-driven event hosted in partnership with Indy Pride. This community committee has worked hard to provide a safe space to represent and celebrate the intersectionality of Asian American Pacific Islander and LGBTQ+ communities

Latinx Pride
Latinx Pride – Generacion Orgullo is BACK!!! This community-driven event hosted by Indy Pride, is the second annual event and is sure to be better than ever. This Community Committee has worked hard and is proud to be the first and only Latinx LGBTQ+ Pride event made for the Latinx community by the Latinx community in Indianapolis.
The event will create a space for the community to gather in open celebration and will showcase local Latinx drag artists, and DJs, while giving space to dance the night away. Tickets for Latinx Pride are ON SALE NOW! CLICK HERE to get yours now!
