The Indiana Historical Society (IHS) invites book lovers of all ages to enjoy free admission and parking at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center as part of Independent Bookstore Day on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Guests can also shop the Basile History Market’s brand-new product lines, get a free Advanced Reading Copy with any purchase, and enjoy amazing prices on a huge selection of books through special discounts. There will also be a free gift with a purchase of $35 or more at the store and 20% off any purchase of $50 or more.

Additionally, there will be a giveaway drawing for both an adult book basket and a children’s book basket.

In addition, IHS will host a variety of authors for book signings and meet-and-greets throughout the day:
• 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Dr. Richard Feldman signing copies of What Our Patients Have Taught Us, IHS Press
• 1 to 2 p.m. – Randall Wisehart signing copies of Families of Two Fires: Forging America's Frontier 1776-1832, IHS Press
• 2 to 3 p.m. – Adriane Doherty signing copies of ABC Indiana and Goodnight Indiana, Cardinal Publishing Group
• 3 to 5 p.m. – Ray Boomhower signing copies of Ultimate Protest: Malcolm W. Browne, Thich Quang Duc, and the News Photograph that Stunned the World, High Road Books

Independent Bookstore Day is celebrated nationally on the last Saturday in April, supporting independent bookstores across the country online and in-store.
