Join Downtown Indy, Inc. and Big Car Collaborative for What a Wednesday, an action packed night featuring recurring events and special art performances on Monument Circle. Check out all cool activations you can engage with on Wednesday, October 19!
- Evening Embers — performance of new compositions and improvisations by Indianapolis-based musicians Jordan Munson and Rob Funkhouser through the Circle sound system. Starts at 6 pm and goes until the reading.
- Walking Wednesdays: The Circle City’s Namesake Landmark — Gain deeper appreciation for Indianapolis’s symbolic heart by exploring the history and architecture of the Soldiers & Sailors Monument and the buildings that encircle it. Presented by Indiana Landmarks. Starts at 6 pm and goes until the reading.
- Circle Anthology — We’ve commissioned more than 20 writers to share work inspired by the Circle. Their poems will air on WQRT FM during Circle Sounds playing from the Circle speakers and we’ll do a live reading with this group at 7 p.m.
- No More No Place — Organized by Indianapolis musician and IUPUI professor Jordan Munson, this project pairs instrumental music by local composers with video accompaniments projected on the Circle. Debuts at about 8 p.m.
