The Spirit of Downtown Indy Award celebrates and honors an individual who has had a singular, positive impact and whose actions have inspired others to invest and engage in Downtown Indianapolis.  

• This Award recognizes a person who through their employment or residential life has demonstrated innovation and positivity to improve Downtown for all who live, work and visit.
• This Award recipient is someone who has a passion for inspiring others into action.
• This Award is to be presented to an individual who has been the driving force behind such transformation and betterment for Downtown. 
• This Award is presented to someone who might have overcome what others could label as ‘obstacles’ by pushing boundaries to positively shape Downtown Indianapolis.
