www.pulliamsquareapts.com - This multi-phase project will convert what was once the home of the Indianapolis Star into a vibrant mixed-use development in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. Located in an area dually influenced by both the lower scale historic fabric and the larger scale modern facades of the urban core, the development s design seeks to meld these influences together into a dynamic and cohesive whole. Phase-I includes a145-unit apartment complex comprised of mixed flats, and townhouses, 20,000 square feet of retail tenant spaces and a landscaped raised courtyard. The buildings are joined by an elevator hub which also connects to an existing parking garage and will bridge across Talbot Street to Phase-II of the development. Phase II will transform Talbott Street from an alley into a welcoming, landscaped pedestrian pathway with semi-private courtyards for residents living along the corridor, and outdoor seating area for a future restaurant tenant. The aforementioned raised courtyard spills over the south facade of the building as a planted green wall landing in a second outdoor seating area. Other site amenities include a dog park and private gated yards for the townhouses and street level flats. The Pulliam Square development will turn a parking lot, two alleys, and an introverted underutilized building into a thriving extroverted community. Offering stunning views of downtown, this project will infuse the core downtown area with people and provide a living connection between the vibrancy of Massachusetts Avenue and the adjacent urban green spaces of University Park and the Indiana War Memorial. While many contemporary apartment projects skirt the perimeter of the downtown area this community is in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, within the mile square and within two blocks of Monument Circle.
