The IU Indianapolis Regatta Steering Committee is thrilled to announce the 16th Annual Regatta, taking place on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Military Park.

The Regatta is a half-mile canoe race along the downtown canal in the heart of Indianapolis, just adjacent to the IU Indianapolis campus. This event, held every year in late September, was established in 2009 to serve as the campus’ annual homecoming event. This long-standing campus tradition involves both IUI’s campus and the Indianapolis community, benefiting the Stefan S. Davis IU Indianapolis Regatta Scholarship, awarded annually to a student who serves as a role model through their academics and community involvement.

The Regatta is held the same weekend as IU Indianapolis’s Family Weekend, and welcomes guests of all ages throughout the community. In addition to the main canoe race down the canal, IUI students, families, and Indianapolis community members can expect:

- Food Trucks
- Carnival Games and Rides
- Dog Costume Contest
- Live DJ and On-Stage Entertainment
- Regatta Royalty Court Contest
- Tabling by IUI Student Organizations and Schools

This event would not be possible without the support of the IUI community, the Indianapolis community, and our sponsors. The IUI Regatta Steering Committee is excited to see students, families, and Indianapolis community members at our event on September 28th, 2024.
