Details
Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster Kevin Lin and Principal Cello Austin Huntington bring their virtuosity to the fore as featured soloists in Brahms’ Double Concerto. Conductor Peter Oundjian also leads Maurice Ravel’s vibrant orchestration of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, which delighted Paris audiences for the first time 100 years ago.
The performance will also be streamed LIVE over the Monument Circle sound system at 11:00 a.m. This FREE programming is made possible though Downtown Indy, Inc.'s Strengthening Indianapolis Through Arts and Culture grant from the Lilly Endowment. In partnership with the Indiana War Memorials Commission and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Monument Circle will now become an extension of Hilbert Circle Theatre, amplifying classical music performances for all to enjoy.
