With gas prices on the rise, it’s the perfect time to go Car-Free or Car-Lite on September 19th! Going Car Free or Car-Lite by driving less or driving with others is a free, fun and an easy way to save money, lower your stress and make Central Indiana a better, cleaner place to live. It’s easy to participate.
Car Free Day is an international event celebrated every September where people are encouraged to be Car Free or Car-Lite. We encourage you to leave your car at home and bike, vanpool, carpool, telework, walk or ride the bus to get around.
Join us at Monument Circle on September 19th from 7-9am and 11am-1pm for live music from The DOO! Band!
