Celebrate the exhibition opening of Daughter/Mother/Ancestor: Threads of Connection at an opening reception on Friday, November 10 from 6–8 PM. This exhibition highlights the powerful artwork and textiles of female artists, as well as their history, symbolism, process and much more. Hear from Dr. Colette Pierce Burnette, Newfields President and CEO, and exhibition curator Shelley Selim, Newfields Curator of Design and Decorative Arts. Guests can enjoy entertainment from DJ Lady Locs. Light refreshments and a cash bar will be available.
