Travel back in time to the summer of 1967 in an ever-changing, ever-expanding, Detroit
Michigan. Siblings Chelle and Lank find new ways to keep their life afloat with a new juke joint
when a mysterious woman shows up at their door and turns their world upside down. Will this
woman become a threat to what they are building? Or can their worlds collide to create
something they’ve never seen? Dominique Morriseau brings life and love to each character in
this memorable story all set to the backdrop of Motown tunes.
