About the Show:

I am well-remembered. I would rather have been well-known.

In Exhausted Paint, a frenetic Vincent Van Gogh takes you through a tilt-a-whirl exploration of his life, heart and legacy.

This 70 minute one-act is explores the life of the world's most famous painter through the lens of disorientation and struggle. Van Gogh takes you from scene to scene of his life - the order of which is determined by a wheel that is spun before you. Join Van Gogh as he is thrown from moment to moment of his joyful, manic, and exhausting life, seeing how each scene contributes to a final, chilling conclusion.

This play with an improvised scene structure is perfect for art lovers, improv fans, and theatre-goers looking for a new and unexpected experience.

Exhausted Paint is written by Justin Maxwell, directed by R'myni Watson, and performed by Drew Stroud a third-year MFA acting student at the University of New Orleans. He has directed produced, and acted in countless shows in both Springfield, IL and New Orleans, LA. This performance is one stop on "The Sunflowers Tour," which is bringing Exhausted Paint to theatres throughout the Midwest.
