Over 150 years ago Lyman Ayres acquired a controlling interest in a small dry-goods store in Indianapolis. A few years later he would rename the store L.S. Ayres and Company. For more than 100 years L.S. Ayres was a part of Indiana culture, with stores across the state and its famous Tea Room. In celebration of the 150th anniversary, let’s reflect on the history and significance of L.S. Ayres throughout the years with Kenneth Turchi, author of “L.S. Ayres and Company: The Store at the Crossroads of America.”

This is a free online event. Registration closes 2 hours prior to the start of the program.
