Heartland Film is pleased to partner with Ted Green Films, the Indiana Historical Society, and Special Olympics Indiana to present the Indianapolis Premiere of “The Best We've Got: The Carl Erskine Story” at Newfields on Thursday, August 18.

Directed and produced by award-winning filmmaker Ted Green, the documentary shares the inspiring story of Erskine, a 95-year-old Anderson native, and the pivotal role he played in two of the great human rights movements of our time. He helped break down racial barriers as a teammate and close friend of Jackie Robinson and fought for people with intellectual disabilities, their acceptance, and the services available to them.

Join us for an inspiring evening that includes a red carpet experience, VIP reception (reception ticket required), and Q&A with the cast and Ted Green, hosted by Scott Swan, following the screening!
