Jun Märkl returns in his first official appearance as the ISO’s 8th Music Director. Join us in welcoming our new maestro and hear why Wagner called Beethoven’s boisterous, toe-tapping 7th Symphony the “Apotheosis of the Dance.” Move to the music of Johann Strauss’s majestic Emperor Waltz and the Spanish rhythms of Manual de Falla’s ballet, The Three-Cornered Hat, featuring mezzo-soprano Veronica Siebert.
