Details
This unique pairing of storytellers will highlight the similarities and differences in their lives, as well as your own. Carol Birch is a retired children’s librarian known for a compelling blend of energy, warmth, vulnerability, and directness, usually telling literary, folk and fairy tales. Sitting at home during the pandemic, she developed a repertoire of family stories highlighting her working-class roots and life experiences. Ray Christian is a retired paratrooper, who currently lives in the mountains of North Carolina with his wife, six children, dogs and chickens. His stories are about his life experiences of inner-city poverty, race relations, military, family, travel, and adventure. Christian has told stories on many stages and platforms, including Risk! Podcast, The Moth, Snap Judgment, and The Story Collider.
