Forager, outdoor educator, and award-winning influencer, Alexis Nikole Nelson, The Black Forager, will take you on an adventure in a captivating conversation about the world of food.

In this discussion at Newfields, the Forbes 30 Under 30 TikTok Tastemaker will take you on a journey through the woods and to the oceans in search of edible plants to enrich your palate and the planet. While delivered in a light-hearted manner, Nelson empowers those living in food deserts with greater self-sufficiency–which is no laughing matter. She also peels back historical layers on African American and Indigenous food traditions that have traditionally been repressed.

She will yell, sing, and celebrate all the edible plants hiding in plain sight! She invites all to come on the foraging journey of collecting, identifying, and eating wild food.

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session and a poster signing.

Guests will enjoy a cash bar, concessions, and leave with a beautiful poster signed by Alexis Nikole Nelson, The Black Forager.
