Overdose Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day that has been observed annually since beginning in Australia in 2001. Overdose Awareness Day (ODAD) spreads the message that the tragedy of overdose death is preventable. This is a day recognized to acknowledge the grief felt by families and friends whose loved ones have died or suffered permanent injury from a drug overdose.

Indiana Overdose Awareness Day is sponsored by Overdose Lifeline, Inc. and will be held at the Indiana State Museum from 6pm - 8pm on Sunday, August 25th. Overdose Lifeline, Inc. honors and recognizes lives lost with a display of photos and a candlelight vigil. We will celebrate our loved ones with a light meal and support for each other.
