WHAT: We’re lighting the fuse for SPARK: On the Circle. This press conference and public celebration will launch the summer/fall series that will activate Monument Circle with daily programming from 11-2 each weekday: Live entertainment, games, cultural experiences, arts activities, food, music and great people watching. Our kickoff will showcase the value and importance of programming public spaces with art and artists, help create a better Circle long term, attract and retain talent, residents and visitors, and increase business and the energy in the Monument Circle area,

WHY: The most important part of activating public spaces is the PUBLIC. To show the rest of the city, we need/want to bring the energy of downtown co-workers, residents, visitors – to capture on video what will be part of the Circle for the rest of summer through mid-October. Please grab folks and be part of the action at 11 a.m. Play ping pong. Dance to live music, Fill the chairs and picnic tables. Challenge folks to giant Jenga, order from a food truck, sit around and people watch…Just show up and enjoy. Thanks for joining us.
