Curt Cavin, veteran motorsports writer, and Paul Page, veteran broadcaster, take the stage at Indiana Landmarks Center to chat about racing and track culture at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, a National Historic Landmark.
A longtime writer and editor at Indianapolis Star and INDYCAR and veteran of on-air television and radio work, Curt Cavin will work his 38th consecutive Indianapolis 500 in May. The co-host of “Trackside with Cavin and Kevin,” a nationally acclaimed radio talk show based in Indianapolis, Cavin currently works for Penske Entertainment, writing and telling stories of the INDYCAR Series and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Paul Page, a voice synonymous with motor racing, first took on the role of chief announcer for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network in 1977 after being mentored by the legendary Sid Collins. Page served as chief announcer through 1987, before moving to ABC and ESPN where he covered a wide variety of events over 25 years as lead announcer, including INDYCAR racing, CART and NHRA drag racing. In 2014 and 2015 Page reprised his role as chief announcer for IMS Radio Network and in 2016 co-hosted the 100th Indianapolis 500 with Mark Jaynes. Page was inducted into the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame in 2021.
