The Downtown Indy, Inc. Circle of Lights® presented by IBEW Local 481 – Indy's most time-honored holiday tradition – celebrates its 61st anniversary this year. Stretching from top to bottom, the Soldiers & Sailors Monument will showcase its iconic 52 garland strands with 4,784 multi-colored lights while Victory stands tall and proud as the “tree” topper. The Monument is also surrounded by 26 larger-than-life toy soldiers and sailors and 26 peppermint sticks. The lights on Monument Circle, activated on Nov. 24, will remain a permanent installation throughout the holiday season until they come down on Jan. 13 with help from dedicated IBEW Local 481 volunteers.
