Ahoy, landlubbers and sea-faring families alike! Prepare your sea legs and tighten your lederhosen because Yachtoberfest is setting sail for Herron-Morton Place Park on Saturday, September 28, 2024! From 3pm until the stars are twinkling above, we’re merging the smoothest yacht rock tunes with the hearty cheer of Oktoberfest for a unique celebration that’s more fun than a barrel of pretzels!

Imagine this: You’re lounging on the lawn, basking in the golden September sun, while the melodious strains of yacht rock classics float through the air. Yes, you heard that right—smooth sailing grooves from the likes of Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins will be the soundtrack to your day of revelry. We’re talking “What a Fool Believes” and “Footloose” with a side of bratwurst!

Our event will be anchored by a flotilla of fabulous food trucks, each serving up tasty bites to keep you energized as you dance the day away. Local breweries will be on deck, pouring out refreshing local beers and other thirst-quenching beverages. Whether you prefer a crisp pilsner or a period-appropriate Oktoberfest, we’ve got your taste buds covered.

Little sailors need not worry about missing out on the fun! Welcome to Totoberfest—a whimsical wonderland designed especially for our pint-sized pirates and mermaids. Here, kids can embark on crafts, games, and activities that’ll keep them entertained and leave you free to enjoy the festival’s grown-up delights.

Dress in your finest nautical Oktoberfest attire—think sailor suits with lederhosen flair or dirndls paired with captain’s hats. There’s even a “Best Dressed Sailor” competition to see who rocks the ultimate yacht-themed dirndl or lederhosen ensemble!

So grab your friends and family and head to Herron-Morton Place Park for a day of yacht rock, Oktoberfest revelry, and unforgettable fun. We’ll see you there, where the only thing smoother than the tunes will be the beer! Cheers to Yachtoberfest!
