Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month on the Circle

Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated from September 15 to October 15 every year, recognizes the Latino community’s contributions to the workforce, social framework, and cultural melting pot of America. To commemorate this special month, Downtown Indy, Inc. has partnered with the Indiana Latino Institute and AES Indiana for a special Shining A Light presentation during the final days of September. Now until September 24, visit Monument Circle at 8:30 p.m., 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. to learn about Hispanic countries, the Latino community’s impact in Indiana, and more! From Colombia to Argentina, Indiana is home to more than half a million Latinos who proudly call themselves Hoosiers.

Since its launch in 2019, Shining A Light has highlighted numerous Hoosier stories that unfold in Indianapolis’ Downtown theatre: Monument Circle. Residents, employees and visitors can see Shining A Light’s Signature Salute, an ode to our Hoosier Veterans, that repeats three times nightly at 8:45, 9:45 and 10:45 p.m., followed by seasonal programming.
