Hinata is offering authentic Japanese cuisine. We serve three different course menus. The menu updates every month. Introductory Kaiseki course "nadeshiko" is available on weekdays (Wed & Thu).
Aki Tanigawa started his career at a Kaiseki restaurant in 1996. He learned the special skills of Japanese cuisine and acquired sophisticated cooking techniques. Then, Tanigawa joined his father's Kaiseki restaurant “Tanigawa Tei” as an executive chef in 2009. After 23 years of experience as a Japanese chef, he wished to challenge himself in a different culture. His wish came true when he met our co-owner, Kazuhiro Hirata. He moved to the US in 2020 to open Hinata. His goal is to bring a sophisticated Japanese food culture to Indiana. He presents dishes with a fusion of both fresh imported Japanese seafood and Midwest local ingredients.
